2017 - And now I have another link to put here, for my own use - I've started responding to a weekly meme com called thefridayfive. It is a good com for making me post, which I had basically stopped doing since I ceased writing and mostly just read and beta.

June 2006 - I set up this LJ, just because so many writers I enjoy had done so and were using this medium instead of mail lists. It seemed time to join in - if only so I didn't miss out on so many good stories. It turned out that the name Maz was taken, so I thought I'd make it clear that I am This Maz, as opposed to that Maz. I didn't have a clue how it worked, but on my first day I was greeted by so many wonderful, friendly, welcoming people that I was immediately addicted. The instruction manual sparrow2000 sent me helped too.

June 2008 - Friending policy. OMG, I need a policy? Okay, so feel free to friend me. I would love to hear from you, if you decide you want to do that, but I have trouble keeping up with my flist at the best of times, so I hope you'll understand if I don't necessarily friend you back.

March 2010 - Bewitched won the award for best series at the No Rest for the Wicked Awards. The judges' statement was: Oh my... let's get a thing straight! Everyone needs to read this story! Everyone needs to discover this author! To say that I am flattered and pleased, would be a vast understatement.

January 2009 - Blood on a Sundial won an award at the White Knights.	May 2009 - Ice-cream won an award at Running with scissors.
I am so chuffed, especially since it is an award that's voted for.

September 2008
tamingthemuse gave me two pretties, for persistence. For writing a story or a chapter, every Saturday for two years. I got to choose the goddess I wanted in the inset panel on the blue one and I chose Tara, because, well, partly because of BtVS. But mainly because, although she isn't strictly speaking a goddess, she is a tantric deity and she "represents the virtues of success in work and achievements". *g*
Tara is also a manifestation of Avalokitesvara, Kwannon and Kuan Yin.

August 2007 - Wheeee! Blood on a Sundial won a couple of lovelies at Forbidden. April 2007 - 30 weeks playing at tamingthemuse and I got to be a Goddess. February 2008 - 75 weeks and they gave me another pretty. Isn't it cool? November 2006 - Observations won at the Forbidden Awards! Twice!!! - best Spander and best new writer. Pleased? Are you kidding? - They said such lovely things, I was chuffed to bits! Disclaimer I write fan fic, in the BtVS universe. All the characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the series are the property of Joss Whedon and Mutant Enemy, etc. No infringement is intended and no profit is being made from this writing. And I appear to have ventured into BBC territory too, so nor do I own Merlin or any of those characters. Still not making a profit, either.
